It has been a long day and a half. We had a long delay in New York but we were able to make our connections in Venice and are now at the hotel in Cortina d’ampezzo on schedule.The bus trip to get here was unbelievable. Leaving the Marco Polo airport was like many urban areas, a little industrial and then farm land like in Illinois. Corn and fresh mown hay. But 40 minutes into the trip it was like pow the mountains hit. 9 tunnels ( some of them more than a mile long) and 2 hours later we arrived Cortina.Jet lagged big time so enough for now.I’m trying to share a photo from our balcony.
